Sanford's Dream
Reason and Liberty Central extends its heartfelt congratulations to its favorite Republican, Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina. With his "extramarital affair" he has resoundingly rejected the hypocritical, impossible "family values" of his fundie party.
Sure, it would have been preferable for him to reject their hypocritical anti-reality, anti-reason, anti-life, anti-man "values" in a less hypocritical way, i.e. by being openly polyamorous instead of having a secret "affair." Yet I'm afraid it'll be a long time before a party and a country infested with religious fanatics are ready to elect an openly polyamorous person to office.
Anyway, actions speak louder than words, and Governor Sanford has demonstrated the impossibility and foolishness of trying to love only one person, of monogamy and marriage. More Person of the Year material, that man.
